A New York-based pianist and vocal coach, Katelan Terrell has collaborated with such artists as Ian Bostridge, Antonio Pappano, Emmanuel Villaume, and Yannick Nézet-Séguin. A passionate recitalist, she has performed at Alice Tully Hall, The Red House, Weill Recital Hall, and Wigmore Hall, where she and tenor Matthew Swensen were the recipients of the 2019 Jean Meikle Prize for Best Duo at the Wigmore Hall/Independent Opera International Song Competition. She has also been a faculty member of the Chautauqua Institution Voice Program as pianist/coach since 2018.
Terrell is an alumna of SongFest, the Schubert-Institut in Baden-bei-Wien, Marilyn Horne's The Song Continues at Carnegie Hall, the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, and the Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme. She received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Literature at the Eastman School of Music, and her Master of Music in Collaborative Piano at the Juilliard School.
